Our STORY

My name is Jothi, I am front of house and my husband Christopher is the Chef. The name Richie comes from our eldest son Richard and we have a second son: Rufus.  Christopher ran a restaurant in India for ten years, he was mentored by his Mother whose cooking was legendary.

Before moving to Torquay, we had a catering business in Carmarthen, Wales for seven years, and Dawlish for two years and a takeaway in Newton Abbot.  One day on a visit to Torquay, which we like very much, we identified a gap in the market, there being no speciality Indian restaurant in town.
